Does anyone know somebody with a good wood shop who would make some up out of very high quality (1/2" I am thinking) ply, finish and split into two pieces and ship for us? ;)

D90 roofrack flooring (http://www.offroadtuff.com/D90LRNA90FSRR.htm)
In case you haven't seen this option...
It isn't wood, but may be more durable in the long run, although $375 is a little pricey..:bling

That looks interesting, though not as designed as well as the ones for Disco. Seems a bit flimsy - been on one?

$75 and much lighter than wood.

Now that's the flooring I've been looking for. Very nice Chris. Any of you local guys want to practice your welding?:grin
Sorry Adam, I've only ever seen the one I posted on the web and wasn't crazy about it, but now I know which direction I want to go, thanks to Chris.

Thanks Art. Doing it for a D90 roof rack would be much simpler as they dont have the multi-level transition like the disco rack.

Chris,
Can you get that into the tech articles area. My cut & paste ain't working on the diagrams.
Awsome piece of help. All I need now is a D-90 roof rack I can afford.

Hi Paul,
I guess I can redo it a bit to fit D90 rack needs and post it in the Tech section. I should take a look at my buddys basket and make sure there is not anything I am overlooking.
Wicks, do you have a copy of that D90 roof rack diagram without the plywood overlay I can use?

Wood would be very nice. But at 1/2", it's heavy. I'm surprised at how many of us forget about keeping COG low. Every little bit helps. Wicks, I would think you'd be concerned about this given that NVTR seems to be a higher speed event, and with all of the fuel you carry on top.
I went with lexan. $100 and it covers my rack, is see-through, yet reflects certain harmful UV rays off the roof (only an added benefit). The sheet I use is only about 1/8" thick, but holds my weight. Mind you, I don't jump up and down or stand between bar supports long. As it's not meant for that. Won't melt either, but I'd be interested to see if it deformed with a heavy load in extreme heat say in the desert.
