Greeting,
Are there any D-110's in South East Wisconsin or close by to Racine, WI? I just bought a D-90 and I can't get my wife to drive her minivan - now she only wants to drive the D-90. We have 6 kids and need a van replacement and she thinks she wants a D-110, but wants to see how they drive. I assume they drive like a D90, but she really wants to "test drive" one. Any available to help out would be very greatful.

I know of 2 in the Chicago Land Rover Club. One had WI plates and was nice. Post up on www.chicagolandroverclub.com and the owner may reply.

I grew up in Racine and still have a ton of family back there. I have never seen a 110 around there and frankly the only 90 I have seen, I think must be yours?

Long story however I grew up on the South side of town, Meachem Rd. I went to Johnson elementary and ended up moving to Denver in 1982. My mom and step father owned Swingers on lathrop, the Docks Waterfront Resturant, and Saltys which is now Michael Angelos out on 20. I ended up going to Park for 1 semester during late 87 and graduated from my highschool here in Denver in 88.
I bartended a ton at my parents places around town if you were of age and made it out to the bars?

The elementary was named SC Johnson just off Lathrop, could be named something different now.
Yea my wife and I bartended at Saltys. Tommy is my stepdad. Yep, I worked there during Ricky's management and after when we had Dan Langendorf running it.
Small world!

I don't remember you what is your wife's name?
I started for Salty's when they first opened and left after about a year. Actually, I think your mom was there one afternoon and I got drunk for celebrating a new job I had just got and Rick had to "let me go".
I think your mom used to work a Jwax for Barry Harris right?

My wifes name is Jenny.
I worked all the resturants on and off, I still for some reason don't remember you. For the longest time though most of the employees did not know my relationship to Tommy given our last name difference.
That sounds like my mom, she still does work at Jwax and did for years for Barry.
Also on the drunk while working subject, I understand both sides and have been on both sides at times. Its much harder to fire your son though :). From what you explained you are not the worst, I stopped in after a Brewers opening day, quite buzzed myself and found the bartender litterally passed out COLD on the bar. There were probably 30-40 people in there all helping themselves to beer, shots what ever they wanted. I bet there were a good 2 dozen bottles of alchol out on the tables. When I pulled the stuff off the tables a couple people actually were pissed like I was taking something away from them and that "I should pay more attention to my bartenders!"
At the end of the day its a crappy job, which is why neither my sister or I stayed in any of the family business and Tommy sold out of his share of everything.
Plus I don't think working that business would have provided the money or time to toy with car habit.

Leaving that bartending job was the best thing that could have happend to me at the time, I think I might have had a drinking problem then???
I remember a Jenny that worked at Saltys - but that was a long time ago, goofy world. Dan Langendorf came to work for me soon after he left the bar and worked for me for 5-6 years, retail construction consulting, he is a Racine Police Officer now, scary...
Do you still have a LR? I see you sold you D-90?
Funny, I was looking for land in Pagosa Springs, or anything close to the Parelli Horse Facility, and almost put an offer on 35 acres in Pinion Hills Ranch Community, not too far from Lone Tree. You live in the sticks eh? What to you do for a living that you can live out there?

I have bought yet have not recieved a 94 Yellow 90 To play with.
I had a 97 as a daily driver but wanted something i could trash on the weekend and not worry about having to get to work. I have an Excursion with the powerstroke as a daily driver, and my baby, 68 Shelby (real one) as my fast car I just needed a convertable summer toy. Its just like shoes, right? You can't have just one pair for every purpose :)
Lone Tree is actually South Denver (I-25 and C-470 on a map). I am actually now a Systems Engineering Manager for Cisco Systems, a tiny little computer networking company ;).
