Any Ideas what is the best way to ship a series 88 chassis from ECR in Maine to me in NJ? Shipping Co.?? Moving Co.??? If it had wheels on it I could ask Mike to drive it down...lol

At that short of a distance, the Uhaul might be the best bet. I shipped a 90 frame from Maine to Utah for about $450-$500 all said and done.

*EDIT* I also meant to say that it was shipped with Roadway. They were great to work with, but we picked it up at the unloading dock here in Salt Lake City.

Who did you use to ship it? What company?

TDI Guy,
if that was directed to me, I edited my previous post probably while you were posting.

I had to time it just right to get ECR to have a forklift on hand and load it on the Roadway truck for me though. They were great and luckily Roadway was on time for the pick-up so ECR didn't charge me to load the frame (they're usually pretty good that way). ECR borrows the forklift from a shop down the road a bit, so you have to communicate with them very well if you do it so that they can have it on hand. IIRC, I even had to tell Roadway to be there at a different time than what they were planning (it was like the next day or something) to get it just right. If there's a Roadway dock near you, they should load it from the dock onto your trailer for you though at no charge. Good luck with it!
