LR HD springs sets

Does anyone run the LR HD springs that RN sells? IF so do they give a mild lift? How Do they ride? I am looking for a set of springs for my Series Coil project and want it to only have about an 1" of lift. THought these might be a good Idea or they could be too stiff. My other choice would be a set of stockers and just add a block if I need a lift. Any Ideas

Randy, i have the OME 751's up front . they gave me about 2" then I added the ARB and 9.5 Warn that brought it down an inch.
The ride is fine not harsh.
Running mediums in the rear.

I have a Series coiler and have had a hell of a time getting any info from experience about the spring setup. I just ordered 761, the MD for the front and 764 for the rear. I figure that since it weighs at least 500 lbs less than a D-90, MD would be fine even with a winch since the 2.25 weighs so much less. I had heard from 1 person that LR HD are harsh.

Kevin, let me know how much lift you get with those springs... What do you think? What springs are in your truck now? RN said the LR HD springs ride beter then OME... who the hell knows though..

Just looked at those springs on the EE site. They look like a good setup though. Keep me updated.

Getting the old front shocks out looks like it will be a biotch. I don't know what springs are in it now, whatever ECR put in 9 rusty winters ago. My measurements from the front and rear spring lenghts in the truck now are give or take 10 and 11 inches. I wont have it done for a month or more, I'm picking up the springs at Winter Romp on Presidents day weekend.

No prob Kevin.. jsut let me know. as for the shocks, cut them off with a sawzall. its the easiest way to get tem if the bolts are all rusted.

caould you send me a bunch of pics of your trucks suspension and how the shock towers fit on the series?

Problem is if you can't get the upper shock bolt off you may need to remove the wing. Between pulling the spring and the shock tower bolts I'm sure I will figure it out. A Series with flex is cool.

I run the OEM HD Springs. RDS had them at a much better price. I have not noticed much difference in ride from the stock as I replaced shocks to Bilsteins. About an inch with the rubber isolators installed. I like them, but I have set my truck up more biased towards the road.

George at RDS sent me a sheet with 2 types of springs for 90's listed. 2400kg wuld most likely be best for a 88.

I can send you the page if you PM me your e-mail. George did not specify wether these were for only a 90 with a V-8, but that would be my guess. I would think that you could have Rovers North research the springs for an early 90 with a 2.5 which was just a bored 2.25 updated a bit.

I just looked in my book and those #s above are the stock springs for early D-9o's also.. THose are not the part #'s for the HD springs is it?

No. Those are for 2250kg. 2500kg appear to be the HD's

I've been looking at the Rover HD springs as well - my D90 SW has an ARB/winch combo on the front and a Tdi under the hood. I'd like about an inch to 1-1/2 of lift to clear the 255/85R16 tires just a bit. I'd be interested in seeing that sheet that George sent you as well - thanks.
