This summer i'm flying to Las Vegas to stay with a friend of mine who moved out there to be with her father. Just thinking be good to have some transport out there so thinking about a car. Now seeing as Vegas has gorgeous sunshine i was thinking a convertable a jeep wrangler to be presise. I would love it to be a defender but i hate to think how much hire charge would be. Back to question anybody know any good cheap car hire places? i'll be in states for bout 3 weeks
Many thanks Alex

best bet is hertz at the airport or alamo or budget..... sign up for whatever membership they offer online ahead of time and sometimes you can get a discount. I prefer hertz, but that's just my preference. Good luck.
Follow-up Post:
Oh- and I would say if you staying right in Vegas, no car is needed...... Most of the hotels can you you a rental for the day if you want to go exploring.

Its a lot cheaper to get a rental than to take a cap, that's for sure.
Do not use the Taxis down there, they will rip you off, big time.
FYI, we use ALAMO car rental.
Hope that helps, have a great time.

Alex,
Jeep Wrnaglers are available with Hertz at the Airport. Reserve well beforehand as they are what they refer to as a "Fun" car and are subject to avail.
No one rents Defenders. Too rare and they stopped importing after 97. . .

In the US, convertible Mustangs and such are usually rented in all the big tourist areas. If you dont mind driving something American then you'll have no shortage of options. It is hot in LV in the summer, but its pretty nice to drop the top after sundown and go cruising under the LV lights.
