3.9 engine, R380 transmission

3.9 engine from 94 NAS D90. 170K still runs good complete $500

R380 5-spd transmission approx 70K good condition $700

94 NAS D90 ECU $???

I have most everything available for a V8 swap including the engine wire harness and ECU that I will include if someone buys both.
The engine runs good. Has had the head gaskets done at some point in the past.

i let my mom drive my truck...stupid...battery was low from leaving light on...so she wanted to pop clutch start it...in reverse...we pushed...she had it in 1st gear...my dream car blead to death right in front of me...so it's at the transmission shop...i'm guessing i need a new one...it has a 6.2 gm diesel engine...will the r380 work with it?

Are you sure you dont have a Hummer? :) It depends on what comes out of it - this could only be a conversion - if an r380 was used with the conversion, then it will probably work, if not its probably a GM tranny which, being domestic will probably be cheaper and easier to get. You trans shop isnt any help with this?

come on...a hummer...there's something wrong with that..:)..i plan on switching to tdi...but i don't have the 20k to do that yet...i got it to do SVO/WVO...and i don't have the 4k to do that...i just dropped it off at the tranny shop last night...a sunday night...i'm about to stop by this morning...or afternoon...whatever...i'm going there today...i would prefer to put an r 380 in if i do have to change it out...no sense in going with something less efficient if i have to do a swap...

the old tranny is a borg warner...they say they can't find any parts for it...would the r380 fit in the place of a borg warner?
