The server move is complete and if you are seeing this post, you are hitting the new server. Full name resolution, meaning when you type www.d-90.com it will come to this server, should propagate its way through the internet over the next 24 - 48 hours, some maybe even longer. In the meantime, you can hit this server by it's IP address of 204.157.7.37.

If you find something not working or linking incorrectly, please post in the Help section of the forum. Right now the one issue I am aware of is the link to the Old Discus Forum still points to the old server. Since that will self correct with the DNS changes, I will just leave it be for the next day or so. Hopefully that is the only one left.

I would like to take a moment to give a huge thanks Charles Galpin. For the past few years, what many people don't know is that Charles and his hosting company, DefenderHosting/PowerVPS (www.powervps.com) has provided The D-90 Source with a testing area on a server that I was able to set up a complete mirror of the production site on. Almost all the upgrades and development of new sections for the site with in the SQL back-end, were tested, recoded, broken, and retested again until they did what I wanted them to do on this test platform before they were put into place on the production site the public hits. This was extremely helpful when in two cases, the back-end failed catastrophically on the old host, most people never realized that after a quick manual change, we failed the site over to the test server for a few days until the host corrected the issues and then switch back.

Now on this new hosting solution, the site has a stronger back-end, better admin controls of the server, a lot more features to keep it humming along, and most importantly, no more space restrictions. This move puts The D-90 Source in a much needed and improved position to accommodate the long overdue expansion and improvement of the site. In the upcoming weeks, look for announcements regarding what some of you might be able to help with in this process if you would like to help the site.

I've had one PM regarding posting problems, while I'm not sure of the extent, if anyone else has problems, PM me with the error message you are getting and which section you are seeing it in.

Thanks,
