Originally designed circa 1954, these lanterns are found on United States battleships and submarines, and are of tremendous strength and quality. Civilians who have never been on a Navy ship, might have seen these lanterns in films like “The Hunt for Red October.” Virtually indestructible these lanterns are constructed of solid vivid yellow Fiberglass resin, and are dent proof and rust proof. Requires Two standard 6 volt Lantern Batteries available at any hardware store. Four screws and O ring gasketing insure water resistance to 10 feet. These lanterns have not been available to consumers. Priced at $100.00 plus shipping. Appropriate for the upcoming hurricane seasons. These can be ordered at the web site.
