While crawling around under the truck this morning, I noticed a loose connector above the xfer case.
What is it?
Should it be plugged into anything?
Thanks.

Not so fast...
In a 2000 model year owner's manual for Defender 90/110/130 Td5/Tdi/V8 there is listed a trans oil temp warning light as an optional fitting. The electrical manual says this connector C218 is involved, as per the pics.
So, I wonder if a temp sensor can readily be fitted to the ZF?
