Is there a way to adjust the t-case linkage? Mine has always been real stubborn on getting it into low and back into high. I'll be getting my cv joint in today so the d is gonna come back to life and want to fix this if possible.

It is adjustable but I don't know if that is your problem..I would maybe recommend you lubricate it.

I agree, pull the center console out to get a better view of the linkage and spray it down and move it back and forth a bunch. They get bound up when they don't get used much, i recommend cycling it at maybe once a week until it starts moving more smoothly, then once a month should be enough to keep it working proper.

Ok yea the guy that had it basically stopped using it that's why he sold it so i guess he negleted a few things. This is gonna make me sound like i'm a idiot but how do you remove the center console? And just any kinda lubricant should work?
Thanks

OK you have a 97 with an auto, so I don't know how it comes out, not sure if it is all that easy either. But you can crawl under the truck, have someone else push the shifter back and forth so you get an idea what to squirt, then hose it down with WD40 to clean it all up and get it working well.

I went out to my barn to look at it and i should be able to get it off ok. I was just wondering if the were some hidden bolts like always on the defender:grin . Well i'll be getting this done this weekend since my cv joint won't be in till saturday:angry
