OK. What do you guys recommend for oil, etc.. in my d-90. What grands are good? What type? What weights? I have no clue. Now The 300tdi is new along with a new r380 and new lt-230.
what should I use in each? Also, what about the diffs? Thanks guys.

Man, I am on top of it this morning! I have had good experience with synthetic atf in the r380, royal purple in the diffs and transfercase, $$ but good. I wish I rememberd weight but you can pull that from your manual. I also use Diesel 20w 40?? In the tdi. I am not totally sure on that one but I do not use synthetic. I got word it was not the best for TDi, no personal experience with that so not sure it is accurate. Hope it helps a little.

I have always heard that for initial engine break in period its bad to use syn motor oil because it is too "slick" that a regurlar dyno is bettter because it always all the engine componets to "mate" together. Not sure about the case and tranny. I use Mobil 1 everywhere but the tranny. i have redline ATF in there.

I use Mobil one in the T-case and tranny, Theses are the only 2 smooth operating components of the 90 with the outside temp at -7 this morning.

Hey, it was nearly 30 out yesterday and it seemed like a heatwave. I think LA is a little too $$$$ for me.
