I was reading the new LRM today when I saw the artical about some AU Rovers, They have Portal hubs that bolt onto the stock Rover axles! I am looking at the picture and I can't believe it! They add 5" of lift and are a DIY kit. They have only made 12 sets to date but they say they are very tuff. They are also not very cheap.:(

There was a good thread or 2 in the Rover forum on the Pirate4x4 site. I dont have links handy sorry. If you go over there, just do a search in that forum for Portals.

they are not worth dreaming of Read. More sence to just drop in Mog portals. At a 2-somthing to 1 reduction they will not reduce the stress enought to run the size tire you could with the mandatory 5in lift. Add in cost $10,000 or so the last time I read about it. At that price you are into custom 9in Portals, straight portals, d-60 portals, and a custom suspension. Hell even Volvo portals if you want that. Not sure why you would. I thought about all this before I went the direction I did.
