Guys,
Today I saw my tail pipe separated from the muffler and yes, the muffler is toast, al the pipes look good though. The cool part is the truck sounds REALLY nice now !! Can anyone recommend a muffler to buy that
1.) fits the truck
2.) would sound aggressive like it does now !!!
Thanks,

I put a Flowmaster 40 series on and it gives it a nice growl, sort of a 5.0 Mustang sound. Not too much, and I think I am getting better MPG and power. Cost around $100. Worth it!

I agree Flowmasters sound good. Any speed shop around should be able to put one on for you if it needs to be welded.

I had mine put on at a regular old muffler shop in 45 min with no problems. I would call around and find out who deals in Flowmasters though. And as usual, explain that it is going on a wierd vehicle;)

Is the Flowmaster stainless? I mean, if you're spending $100 you may as well spend a little more and get a stainless with a lifetime warranty. You are in CT with all that salt and if you plan on keeping it for a while it should be worth it.
I have a NRP from the po and am pleased. However, I would probably look for a less expensive stainless solution if I had to.

Flowmaster now (past 2 mos) makes the 50 series in stainless, so yeah $126, gets a stainless that supposedly sounds pretty good. same part # as Mike mentioned but with a 9 preceding it for "409" stainless

I just put a flowmaster 40 series delta flow #942442 in my D90 and the performance increase is minimal as expected but the sound is nice. The delta flow keeps the noise down somewhat in the vehicle while the outside still sounds nice. This is not a loud muffler by any means (good or bad). I went with this setup because I feel that the Borla and NRP are expensive and that I can put that money towards some other upgrades that will give me more results (4.11 gears or lockers). Just something to think about. Oh, Mienke did it and I had them tuck it away nicely all for about $150.

Jan,
Do a search on yahoo yellow pages ( http://yp.yahoo.com/ ) for a custom exhaust shop in your area. I had a cat back stainless steel system put in for $300.
