I've seen pictures of D90's with what seems to be a removable auxiliary rear light. It looks like a molded plastic light with a handle on top mounted on a bracket above the license plate. Is there a standard kit for this or a favorite add on? I've been looking around but can't find what I'm looking for. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

hey Dave!
That lamp you're referring to is made by Hella and it's called the "Matador." It also has an external switch located at the rear of the lamps housing that allows you to turn it on and off. Anyway, here are two vendors I recommend:
Recovery Gear USA (http://www.recoverygear.com/hella.html)
Expedition Exchange (https://www.expeditionexchange.com/hella/) Scroll Down.
Hella makes a mount for another lamp, but I believe it was Safari Gard that made the lamp bracket for the Matador. I not sure they make it anymore, but you can give them a call. Hope this helps.

I too am looking to add this mod. I called Safari Gard and they do NOT make the bracket anymore. I think Rovers North has something similar. I think it's like $39 for the bracket plus the light.

Joe,
You are correct about Rovers North. Santa brought me a hella worklight from RN for Christmas. The light is wonderful, and the kit that came with it is complete. The kit includes a light, bracketry, wiring, a relay, switch, and even moderately informative instructions. The kit is a winner, but I think it comes with a hefty price tag.

I just use regular rubber housed tractor lamps. Arouns $10 a pop. Always work, cheap, can get them anywhere.

Give me about two weeks and I will be offering the same type of bracket for less than RN on my web site store. I will also have some very nice clevis mounts for any D-90 with a stock bumper......Dave

The hella worklamp is $45 from susquehanna motorsports - you'd just have to buy the bracket from RN or Dave.

Actually on many Rovers there is a lamp like the Matador, but it actually is some king of Genuine product (I think). I am planning to replace my square (ugly) IPF lamp with a pair of these mounted on the rack.
I also am looking for a mount to put one on the roll bar by the side mirror, so it can be aimed from inside the truck. Dave, how about that? ;)

I would like to rear lamp setup similiar to this. Other than RN, where could I purchase this? Can someone who has the bracket from RN take a close-up picture, maybe I could find something at Home Depot.
Is that mount only for a specific Hella lamp??
Thanks in advance.

Ade, It's going to take more than a work lamp to make your truck look like the one in those pics... ;-)
that thing is sweet.

I have the Rovers North kit. I'm not sure if the bracket is compatable with other lights out of the box, but with a little modification I'm sure it could be :)
Speaking of modification I found that I needed to modify the bracket to work with the Hella light it came with. The way it comes from RN puts the light too close to the back of the truck which made snaping that side of the top into the belt rail a major hastle. This would not be a problem on a SW. I had a local welder add a 1 inch (approx) tab to extend the bracket.
This is probably best explained with pictures:

I had a couple fab company make me a custom mount that looks like the one above. I had them make extra becasue I had to do a minimum of 5 in order for them to make it for me. My mounts are aluminum and come with a 6" round backing plate which helps reduce vibration on the tub. If anyone wants one let me know.

I don;t know how to resize the photos.
i can e-mail them to anyone who wants them. The mount is made for the genuine Land Rover worklamp not the hella.
