Storing Roof Vertically

Is anyone aware of a reason why I would not be able to store the roof of my 110 vertically, assuming that I protect the rain gutter. I currently have the top off as I repair/replace the body capping and the roof is currently laying flat on the floor. I would like to position it upright, but do not want to damage it in doing so. I was thinking of positioning it so the weight was being supported just shy of the rain gutter in the rear (above rear door opening and then securing it to the wall so it does not fall over using rope or something. Anyone see any issues with this. It would probably be 2mos maximum that I would have it off the vehicle.

I would think it would change the weight distribution the roof panel normal deals with. Could you rig up a few ropes and secure it to the ceiling of your garage?

On end would be no problem, tie it in place, damage will occour if it falls over. I kept a 90 roof up ended on it's side gutter for over a year. If you can hang it from the roof rafters so much the better. it's a big lump and takes up a lot of space. I'll be in the same situation if my rebuild ever progresses past the rolling chassis stage... I'm hoping to swap over the transmission and engine this week.
