So I hear that the OME shocks are too long for the rear axle of a D90, and that you can end up with the springs popping out.
Has anyone tried a combo of OMEs on the front and Bilstiens on the rear?
Ideas?
Thanks!

Lots of people use OME on the rear of D90s including myself. They work fine. Some just wont allow enough drop to unseat the spring.

Chris, do you mean you just don't let the rear drop enough to potentially pop loose the spring? I have my rear wheel in the air pretty regularly so I am kinda worried about it. Did you fit spring retainers?

No, my OME HD setup wont let the the axle drop enough to let the rear spring pop out. I have a set of EE retainers and never needed to use them. If you go with maybe the OME LTRs or the Scoripion Racing lowered mounts, then you would want to retain I think.
(BTW - I edited out your HTML code in the thread title if you were wondering why your first post said it was edited by me)

Oh, so you have the OME springs in there too? I am just replacing shocks, I like OEM coils. That's why the length issue I guess.
Hmmm.

How about if I just used original LR rear shocks and OME shocks in the front?
