Yup... We found out a couple of months back after hearing for alittle over a year that the owners were building a new store. It was time to break ground and instead we were told that AutoNation made a offer and the owners took it.

They close on the 29th and then........ I dont know.

It definitely not a mood of excitement.

We had a bunch of long time employees at Doc's (Dr. Jack Frasher) stores too. I was there for 5 years, before my wife and I decided to move back to NC. I'd still be there if it weren't for my wife's job and our daughter. I hope ya'lls transition goes well.
Hey Ken, what else have you got in your collection? I see the Camel on Ebay, and of course I had the pleasure of knowing Judge Dredd :) . Doc still has a couple of Camels, but they are for show only.

Yeah, Doc's pretty cool, and he's a Rover Nut. We always had Defenders and other cool rovers around, like the Camels and Series Trucks. My TReK is #8. I know it was our LR Asheville's team car during the trials. It's an awesome truck. I love that it has rubber lining instead of carpet. It only has 49K miles on it right now! What I want to get is the TReK car I drove in '03! I know where all of the '03 TReK's are, and I have a line on one, but the individual who has it is really upside down in a lease on it....and I mean really upside down!! Your remember the '03s had MSRP's just over $60K. Now imagine a lease residual based on that MSRP, and they still have 2 years to go on the lease!! Anyway, would still love to see your TReK pics...maybe you caught a few of my truck.

Have You Seen What The Guys In Texas Did With My Old Judge Dredd Vehicle? They Turned It Into A Showstopper.it Won First Place At Sema Or Somthing In Las Vegas. It Turned Out Awesome.

I know that the guy who bought JD was going to turn it into some sort of custom audio platform for show. I didn't know that it went to SEMA? That's awesome. Wish I could see what it looks like now. I still have pictures from the day it left Asheville. The guy drove all the way up from Texas and then turned around and towed it home with his Hummer.
I'd love to see the pics when you get a chance. Yeah, I'm going to bide my time on the '03 TReK. It isn't going anywhere right now. :)

That doesn't hardly look like the same truck! They really did a nice job with it. When we had it, as I'm sure you recall, it didn't even have an interior (there's carpet in there!).
