Those of you that have it, did you change both your Driver side and Passenger side mirrors? Any disadvantages???

Yes. No.

just got those, both sides, best upgrade for the Rover, for the money. I was worried about too much distortion, but
the wide angle effect is just right. Kicked myself for waiting so long.

Best bang for the buck on the truck so far, yes I've changed both and have been pretty happy about it. I'll be changing the D2 fairly soon as well.

What is this product. Are you replacing the entire mirror with a convex mirror?

I never had too much trouble with the stock mirrors - I just angle them out so that I can not see my truck, but can see the lane next to me.........

I have the fiberglass hardtop on........I remember that there was a much bigger blind spot with the soft-top on.........

I reciently bough the drop curtain for the summer, and winter........it does create a bigger blind spot.......Send a link to the product you are refering too, Please.........

$20, looks like it just replaces the glass in your original mirror head.

I bought a passenger side from Rovers North about 8 years ago, but it was the whole mirror head..

WOW - thanks for the parts and listing.........

You guys that have them - seem to love them! For people that have ordered just the replacement mirrors, are they as EASY to replace as the web page says??

It is as easy as the website says. I replaced mine in the middle of summer, so the rubber surrond was nice and soft. I've had my convex set for 5 or 6 years now (bought them before EE took them over). I think I heard only replacing the passenger side mirror is legal. But who cares? Replace them both, you'll dig the difference.

Great upgrade for the money and really easy to install.

piece of cake. Roll back the seal to expose enough of the mirror, and it will come right out. Place new mirror , roll back seal into place, presto.

I would call this mod more of a necessity than anything else. I always thought the flat glass was dangerous as the angle of view was so narrow.

Change both.

Be careful using it as a drivers mirror! Things are not what they seem, and cars coming up on that side are closer than you think. I only use the passenger side as on all other vehicles I've driven. I tried both, and just use passenger sie now. 1 for sale!
